How to choose the right mascara
    Choose the mascara that does what you need: lengthens, thickens, conditions, is long-lasting and/or waterproof. (Many combine benefits.) Lengtheners, such as Avon's INCREDIBLE LENGTHS Long and Strong Mascara, build up the tips of lashes, making them look longer. Thickeners, such as Avon's VOLUPTUOUS Full-Figured Mascara, coat the full length of each separate lash. Long-wearing formulas, such as Avon's WASH-OFF Waterproof Mascara, stay perfect day to night. Conditioners, such as Avon's BEYOND COLOR Triple Benefit Lash Conditioner, moisturize lashes to their tips to help prevent breakage. Want a mascara that does it all? Try Avon's One Great Mascara, which thickens, lengthens, magnifies and conditions lashes.
    Black or black/brown are universal good bets; plain brown works when you want a softer effect. (Or try Avon's HYDRA FINISH Soft 'N Natural Lash Color, which darkens lashes without mascara build-up). Date mascara when you buy it and replace it after three months to avoid clumping and bacteria.
    *Hint: Save your old brush. Cleaned with eye makeup remover, it's a handy declumping tool.

How to apply mascara
   Here are two approaches, your choice:
    1. Put on mascara before foundation and concealer, so you can use them to cover up any smudges.
    2. Put on mascara last, so lashes won't get dusted when you put on powder.
   Either way . . .
      • Twirl – don't pump – the wand to coat it. Pumping allows in air, hastening dry-out.
      • If you prefer the lightest possible touch, wipe the wand gently with a clean tissue to remove excess mascara
         before applying.
      • Hold the brush horizontally for upper lashes. Start at the base and wiggle it up to the tips to maximize 
         separation and lushness. Allow the first coat to dry completely, then repeat.
      • Hold the brush vertically for lower lashes and sweep it lightly across them.
      • If lengthening is your goal, fluff on an extra dash of lengthening mascara just at the tips of lashes.
